Wow! What an amazing day this has been. I am so excited about what God is currently doing and will do in the lives of those at Sonlight. I should have posted last Sunday after seven youth gave their lives to Jesus Christ! It doesn’t get any better than that. Each week I’m so blessed and glad to be a part of this church. There are so many people who are engaging their talents and hearts for God’s kingdom and it’s making a huge impact in the lives of so many. Here are some of the highlights:
* We set a record high in attendance with 433 people!
* We heard how God has rekindled a love for a spouse through her efforts to respect her husband.
* We had 172 people attend “Fireproof” tonight. What an amazing movie! I so wanted to stand up and preach after watching that movie.
* We gave away 32 tickets to people wanting to see “Fireproof” as a gift from Sonlight.
* We had twenty kindergartners! Anybody want to help in this class next week?! We need more volunteers!
* Our set design team did it again. They constructed a house on our stage!
* I haven’t had an opportunity to see the communication cards, but I heard a lot of people talking about how God had moved in their heart today.
* Thirty-seven people took the dare! That’s how many copies of the “Love Dare” book that were purchased. We only have 14 left, so if you want one, let me know.
* Oh yeah, I have to mention that 72 people in our church are competing in our 12 week challenge to get physically fit and lose some weight! Catch me if you can, but I’m already down 6 lbs.
