Today, with the help of a generous gift, we were able to get rid of our car loan. For the past two years we have been making double payments and for the past few months we have been trying to focus our efforts to once again get debt free. We know that to be outrageously generous, we have to become debt free! So today we are celebrating having Deena’s car completely paid for and now we can roll over that car payment to pay off our next loan. I can’t wait to call Dave Ramsey’s talk radio show and yell “I’m debt free!” next year. Deena and I have made a commitment to get ourselves out of debt no matter the cost. However, at the same time, we are going to continue to put God first in our personal finances by bringing His tithe to His church and continuing to be generous toward our Sonlight’s pursuit of paying off its land. My prayer is that our entire church will engage in our winter campaign to get rid of debt and become the outrageous generous people that God desires us to become.
